Gillingham 2001 Becontree Club took a team of ten students to compete and we received three medals Gold -- Siobhan Murphy ( Senior Pairs Demo ) Gold -- Sean Murphy ( Senior Pairs Demo ) Bronze -- Roy Ambrose ( Random Attacks ) Southend 2002 Becontree Club had 17 Participants in this years National Competition and everybody did excellent and the club obtained 4 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals. Silver : Siobhan Murphy ( Weapons Kata ) George Patterson / Connor Vaughan ( Junior Pairs Demo ) Thomas Connor ( Junior Random Attacks ) Bronze : Michael Jennings-Soper / Amy Jennings ( Junior Pairs Demo ) Rob Holmes ( Senior Heavyweight Groundfighting ) Brian Doherty ( Senior Heavyweight Sparring ) Blackpool 2003 9 Senior Students went up to Blackpool to compete in the United Nations Ju-Jitsu Competition we were representing Jikishin and Becontree Club. Everybody had a excellent time and fought their hearts out, We achieved 2 Gold , 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. Gold : Rob Holmes ( Senior Heavyweight Groundfighting ) Nikkie Dedman ( Womens Groundfighting ) Silver : Siobhan Murphy ( Womens Groundfighting ) Bronze : Ray Egleton ( Groundfighting ) 4th Place : Sean Murphy , Ron Mansfield ( both deserve medals and were robbed ) Southend 2003 Wow what a Competition for Becontree Club, We won so many medals i lost count, All the students did excellent and so many of you were knocked out in the final rounds by your own team mates.
